The one and only time I have went away for a festival, was only one day and it put me off them for life.
Had to be up ridiculously earlier to catch the coach with mates in town, the coach took hours as had to go to certain pick-up points for other people.
It was hot as hell, and I had a banging headache!
The main draw for me at the time was AFI, their set was worth waiting for as at the time we never thought we would see them. Though since them I think they have played Newcastle twice but by then I couldn't be arsed with them!
Hundred Reasons were alright, can't remember any of the Mad Caddies set so guess they were shite!
Turbonegro were hilarious, and I deffo enjoyed the Mars
Volta set even if my mates I was with didn't want to come see them!
First time seeing Thrice and they were great live. King Prawn were ok, had heard the name loads before but never listened to them, UK ska punk with Asian members. Pretty sure if it wasn't around this time, it was later they had beef with members of Jesse James but no idea what it was about.
Leeds fest in a whole, I found to be a shithole with people just pissing where they felt like, also sure one of the security in the concrete jungle stage had a dodgy nazi tattoo....
Nearly missed the coach home as one of our group went missing and wouldn't answer his phone cos he is a prick. Thought fuck it, let’s go to the coach and he was there and had been for the half hour we had spent looking for him.
