All dayer for Distraction Records, think Darren did this as a last hurrah for the label before slowing winding things down, think he was selling a lot of the remaining releases he had for reduced prices.
Summer Night Air were an ambient synth pop duo from Wallsend. Very good stuff, recommend their album 3.
This might have been Fret!'s first gig? Instrumental noise rock. Steve in this band started Distraction with Darren.
Moon was Ben and Sarah from Jazzfinger with Richard Dawson doing droney stuff.
Russ Abbotoire was something else, rubber masked loons, noisey rock with sax and mustard and tomato sauce lactating breasts, sure someone made a sarnie with the help of these guys!
Some dark ambient IDM from Italy's Tempelhof, their debut album that Distraction put out got a lot play from me when it got released!
Mushi Mushi were some other locals that were a bit electro and a bit drum and bass, also became the band to have the final release on Distraction with their lathe cut of In the Bleak Midwinter/Shuffle.
Nerco Deathmort were heavy as fuck! Loud basslines and beats, they shook the place when they played, a blend of dub and doom!!!!
