Ouseburn Regeneration Centre was like a small community centre on the quayside, think now it has a different use but while it was available for gigs it was great space.
Powerviolence duo Iron Lung were great, kids were going mad for it!
Sex Wound were a cross of noise, noise rock and chaos. Singer had been slowly getting mortal on wine, stripped to his undies and got smacked off a member of the crowd for getting to close to someone near the from who had wire work coming out his arm, which to be fair wasn't a great place to stand!
Gullich were a three piece with members from around Newcastle down to Middlesborough. More I'd say emo'ish but indie rock, whatever they were great. They did put out a CDr which years later got released on vinyl, and worth trying to find!
Durham's Glaciers were like a screamo band, all the members went on to over great bands from Durhams over the years and all them still have a strong DIY ethic to their work and releases.
Have added below a picture of Iron Lung looking bored to fuck during Sex Wound's set!
