I had been playing Pocahaunted's Island Diamonds loads so was canny excited to see them play.
So was surprised when I saw it was different line up, no Bethany as she had left to form Best Coast and in her place was Diva Dompe and the rest of the backing band I guess were Sun Araw.
Less droney more kinda 70's blissed out rock? Was still good like.
Sun Araw were pretty decent too, kinda dubby drone rock, pretty much after seeing them started picking up more of their releases here and there. They did a good release with the Congos a few years back.
Local Phil Begg played under the name Hapsburg Braganza. A mix of field recording and Musique Concrète Really nice stuff.
