Lumping these two dates together as they were Blastonbury, two days of grindcore and other grindy delights...though only going to mention the bands I thought were ok during this!
Met two people in the queue for this gig and became good mates with, think we all stuck out a bit as we weren't all dressed in black and didn't smell like piss and BO.
Long day, Say Why? and Lycanthropy from the Czech Republic were great. Fast hardcore grind, both bands shared a split release on which I think Lycanthropy did a belting Siege cover.
Anal Cunt's set was just wild, very offensive and was weird to see happen as Seth had not long been in a coma. Their set got cut short as the venue owner only told the promoters of this gig on the day it needed to be finished y 10:30pm so they could have their nightclub open!
This led Seth to start calling everyone on stage pretty bad shit! Though on the plus side I managed to get home from Sunderland quicker and not need a taxi to get home from town!
Second day, highlights for me were Life is a Lie from Brazil, members of Sick Terror! Really good Brazilian grindcore!
Magrudergrind were fantastic, their set marred by Seth and the other members of AC being absolute bellends which ended up with the drummer being kicked in the head off Avi on stage - was a wonderful sit to behold! Small fight occurred and recall Seth being marched out by a security dude and Seth acting like he was a victim...
Yacopsae's set was also amazing, they are so fast and heavy. When they arrived at the venue the drummer had asked my mate, "Where is Stu?" but cos his German accent was so strong my mate was like, "The Queue is here mate"...
