12.07.2005 - Direct Control/Marked For Death/Drunk As Shit/No Personal Value - The Dog and Parrot, Newcastle

The Dog and Parrot always I thought had the smell of a flat that had 100 smokers living in it! Mean was ok for gigs bar the sound restrictor that would cut the power to the bands if it went to loud which when I think about it wasn't needed as where the pub is there isn't really people living around.

Gig was the same night as the last Oasis gig in Newcastle, so town was heaving!

No Personal Value were a crust punk band and one of them was maybe 14/15 at the time, later got told off another members years later that the kid dropped out and someone ended up on Geordie Shore!

Direct Control played a canny set, was annoyed as I bought a 7" off them and the dude doing their merch charged me an extra pound as the record was purple. Get home to find it was just black and not purple!
