Remember this day well as I walked out of my first job after telling the foreman to stick the job up his arse! It was a hellhole and was good to get out of it!
Don't have a proper flyer for this as a mate, Jack put it on and didn't really have one, did see one online at the time but never an actual one to pick up.
Also, first time in the Stout Fiddler, nice pub and the gigs went on the basement which was tiny.
Catena Collapse were over to tour the UK with La Quiete, though they were not on this bill which was a shame. I assume as Catena were from Norway they got the ferry from there to North Shields so played Newcastle the night before Leeds with La Quiete. Really good emo band and ended up getting one of their tour CDrs. Also thought the guitarist sounded a bit like Kermit the frog!
WhoresWhoresWhores were a grind band from Leeds and Written From Negative were from down the road in Sunderland. They were decent indie/jangly stuff, still nearly 20 years on need to pick the 7" they did and sure they had an CD EP as well.
Flyer (below) is one I made for fun, sure Jack did one that was Spongebob related but never got a copy of it!
