Third outing of the Tusk Festival and back at the Star and Shadow for the full three days!
Seeing legends Smegma was pretty cool like and Wax Magnetic's set was something special, Miriam and Posset doing what them do best! Miriam using 8 turntables at the same time while Posset did his dictaphone skonk was incredible!
Happy to see Astral Social Club play and Blackphone666 was also fantastic, Japanese noise using old telephones!
Headliners on this day were Endless Boogie, some cool alt rock maybe stoner jam band. I nearly left as didn't find it ok, think in my head I was like this is like Status Quo! But something made me return and glad I did as it was a great set!
Final day, I enjoyed Phil Begg play his new jazz project Midnight Doctors, something he had been working on for ages I was told, good stuff and the first album may have been released at this show or had come out a bit earlier?
Jar Moff's set I enjoyed, synthy stuff? There was a break between his two songs as he had to change his set up, recall someone saying he had to change a cartridge? So not sure if he had a weird synth or like eurorack thing?
Highlight of the whole weekend was Japan's Endon! Epic noise, noise rock band! Absolute powerhouse of a band, was at the front for this and a friend says I just missed getting knocked out but the guitarist when he swung is guitar about! This set did get filmed, but Tusk never uploaded it so cannot check if this is true!
