Whipping Post and The Shits were from Leeds.
Whipping Post had ex-Perspex Flesh/Brain Dead and maybe other bands in them, straight up hardcore. They were supposed to have the LP with them but if I recall it didn't get pressed in time as the test presses for them to check out before agreeing to the full press going ahead got delivered to a neighbours house and they couldn't get them for a bit!
Noise-scum rock from The Shits, Sam from Foot Hair would end up joining them on third guitar much later.
