First heavy hitter gig maybe, depends on if you consider Fear Factory a heavy band!
Raging Speedhorn were supposed to be on this tour but pulled
out, not sure to exactly why. I had been shitting myself to see them as saw one
of their music videos and the kids in the mosh pit were going apeshit. As short
arse, I thought I would have been launched halfway over the venue.
Sugacoma were fucking awful, think they maybe got on this gig as their Britney Spears nu metal cover of Crazy(?) was popular....
Janus Stark were canny from what I remember, wasn't to a few years later did I realise the guitarist was also the live guitarist for the Prodigy!
Fear Factory came on and played, explained that Godflesh had broken down, so they were going to play so save people waiting about. At the time I loved Fear Factory so was buzzing to see them!
Halfway through their set they stopped and informed us Godflesh had arrived so were going to let them play a bit as the crowd needed to hear them if they weren't aware of who they were.
They were class despite maybe only getting to do 2 or 3
songs(?) before Fear Factory finished their set.
I ended up buying a Fear Factory wrist sweat band thing from them at this gig, not sure why and I deffo don't have it anymore! Think I wore it a lot to gigs and thought I must have looked fucking mint wearing it....
