This was upstairs at Zerox on the Newcastle Quayside, the room at first was a bit of a squeeze to get in like.
Anyway, gig was going fine until Frisk played and everyone lost their shit, moshing and jumping around and one point someone crowd surfing and nearly wiping the soundman out!
After Frisk finished the owner came up and mentioned the gig may need to be cancelled as the floor had dropped by an inch or two! Pretty scary to think that the floor could have collapsed downstairs to the bar!
I did think it was cheeky that the owner said if this happened, Connor (who put the show on) would be done for manslaughter! Kinda think that is very wrong seeing how it is his building and he should have made sure it was safe to have a gig there!
I did have a peek at the gap, and it was a bit woah as you could see into the room downstairs!
Anyway, the gig got moved downstairs which I think ended up being better as more space for the young ones to go mental!
Mortsafe were locals, ex-members of various local bands over the years playing a blackened crust punk, good stuff with a fake skeleton being thrown around the room!
Wise Up, Longbenton's finest beatdown band! I'm not into too much beatdown hardcore but this was pretty sick, and the kids again went nuts!
Armor and Big Laugh both on tour together from the States, both great fast hardcore!
