02.04.2022 - Dry Cleaning - Boiler Shop, Newcastle

Didn't bother with the support band, can't remember their name but they were a bit weird. An old bloke with a very young lass singing.

Dry Cleaning were really good, spoken word with jangly guitars, they reminded me a bit of the Suburban Lawns.

To quote my mate, they don't look like a band that should gel well together and put out the music they do.

Singer looks like an art teacher (which I think she is?!), guitarist looks like a hardcore kid (he did play for a bit in November Coming Fire) and the bass player looks like he could have been in a stoner rock band, whereas the drummer looks like a hip hop kid!

Cracking set by them, not so good at expensive t-shirts like! Though this maybe a Boiler Shop thing....

Another hot night at the Lubberfiend on a Sunday! Don't really know much about Modern Heaven, they are a duo from Melbourne, Australia...
