Was proper buzzing to see Low Life play as their album, From Squats to Lots: The Agony and the XTC of Low Life, had been on constant rotation.
They absolutely killed it live!
Sunderland's Roxy Girls were a pleasant surprise, had seen their name of flyers around but not heard them. Kinda a bit like the Futureheads and someone else I can't think of at the moment, but very good live. Still need to pick up their LPs!
Stannington come from up Northumberland way, kinda like an 80's indie band, saw them recently and hoping they put out an album soon as they seem to have gotten a lot more tighter and bang on!
After this gig, stayed for a bit and had a dance with the Low Lifes! Probably had a maccas and fucked off home!
