02.07.2025 - Destiny Bond/Big Laugh/Fentanyl/Diall/Spit - The Grove, Byker

Good sets by locals Spit and Diall.

Spit haven't really played much this year, think this is their third gig of the year and waiting on their 7" to come out at some point.

Daill have just recently came off a Euro tour.

Wasn't really into Fentanyl, thought the singer was a bit of a second rate Justin Pearson.

Big Laugh were awesome, was great to see them play again. Was a bit of a technical hiccup as one of the guitarists had to change some strings but nothing major and the band carried on playing when he sorted it.

Wasn't too sure about Destiny Bond, hadn't heard anything by them until a few hours before when I checked some live videos on YouTube. I still wasn't too sure after seeing that but seeing them live for real was totally different. They were fucking awesome, great hardcore and full of energy.

They were impressed by the Newcastle scene and assume everywhere they have played on their Euro tour which is always good, shows that no matter how bad things are, there are at least places we can all go and just enjoy a show and feel accepted etc...
